Spotlight on Jayne E. Juvan, Esq.
Jayne E. Juvan, Esq., an attorney affliliated with Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff, LLP, is a member of the firm's Private Equity Practice Group and Health Care Practice Group. She concentrates her practice principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Because she has an affinity for the health care and life sciences industries, she focuses a significant portion of her practice on the representation of private equity funds in connection with health care and life sciences investments. She also represents health care companies such as manufacturers and distributors of pharmaceuticals, retail and institutional pharmacies, hospitals and health systems, physician groups, long term care providers and ancillary service providers in connection with a wide variety of health care regulatory matters such as compliance with fraud and abuse laws, state licensure laws, HIPAA, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement laws.
Ms. Juvan is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Business Law Committee on Venture Capital and Private Equity, the American Health Lawyer's Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Bar Association Corporate Law and Health Law Sections. She is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio.
Ms. Juvan graduated from the Capital University Law School, summa cum laude, and was the Salutatorian of her graduating class. She also received a Bachelor's of Arts in Philosophy with a Minor in Pre-Law from Kent State University.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Juvan also dedicates a significant amount of her time to pro bono assistance and is very active in the community. She is a member of the board of the Friends of the Gathering Place, a non-profit organization designed to meet the spiritual and holistic needs of cancer patients, and she has participated in the Cleveland Bar Association's 3Rs program, a program that places lawyers in classrooms at inner-city Cleveland schools. Ms. Juvan lives an active lifestyle, runs in long-distance races, swims, bikes, and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
